Salut! I'm a college student majoring in Software Engineering. I created this website to share whatever I'm learning with you.

You might be looking for the best website to start learning how to type faster, well, this is the right place for you. Typing faster isn’t just a skill to flex on your friends (although you can), it’s more of a time savior. By learning how to type faster you will save so much time as well as reducing your stress levels when you have an assignment due in the next 2 hours.

I published a post about How to Improve your Typing Speed to save time before, but in this post, I would like to introduce you to you the best website for doing acquiring the fast typing skill. This website is the full package, it has lessons as well as practice tests, and even games.

The website is: TYPING.COM

NOTE: I’m not sponsored by typing.com

Excellent Lessons:

The lessons at typing.com are the main reason why I chose this website as the champion of typing (they also have the perfect domain name). The lessons are well split and very easy to follow. Each lesson has illustrations on where the fingers are supposed to be.

The website also gives you all the information that you need to know regarding fast typing. This is provided in between lessons, in the form of text or a video. typing.com emphasizes that you should take your time while learning in order to increase your accuracy so that you don’t suffer later on.

Practice Tests:

The practice tests at typing.com are also very good and miles better than others that you will find online. Most of the top typing tests that you find on google are very easy and they can trick you into thinking you’re fast. They do that by giving you a test that has the top most used English words which makes the mission much easier.

At typing.com however, the tests are in the form of normal texts that you might read online or write in a class. The test also contains the harder to type symbols such as quotation marks, points, commas..etc. This will challenge you more and make you much faster in the future, which is the end goal.

Games:

Learning how to type faster requires dedication and consistency. Things can get rough sometimes and you might be lacking motivation, this is where games come into play. While designed for kids, they’re still a good way to practice for a couple of minutes when bored.

The games bring in a competitive spirit to the table which might push you into going faster. However, I would advice you to play the games only after tuning your accuracy and having it spot on. That’s because during the learning process accuracy is much more important than speed.
